Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Dip
Usually buffalo chicken dip is a calorie bomb. Cream cheese, a bottle of processed ranch dressing, a bag of cheese, and barely any chicken. So I give to you an improved version. It's full of flavor and chicken. This is a staple at any football party, pot luck dinner, or holiday gathering. It's simple, low maintenance, and did I mention delish?
Here's what ya need:
A crock pot, 4 chicken breasts, ranch seasoning packet, olive oil, water and Frank's original red hot.
Tough directions here let me tell ya!
1. Put all the olive oil, 1 cup Frank's, chicken and 1 (1oz) packet ranch seasoning mix into your crock pot on, set to high, put lid on, and walk away.
2. About 3-4 hours later, take out chicken breasts and shred with two forks. It should fall apart with little effort.
3. Add remaining ingredients. Give it a stir, turn to low. Serve when your guests arrive. (or whenever you get hungry!)
Enjoy!
The Recipe:
1 1/2 tbs olive oil
4 chicken breasts
1 1/3 cup frank's original hot sauce
2 1oz packets of dry ranch seasoning
The extras:
* Depending on your taste buds you may need a little more ranch or a little more hot sauce. This makes a mild wing flavor. It's a tad tangy but nothing too much. The more ranch you add the more toned down flavor you'll receive. Or opposite if you add more Frank's.
* You can serve this with so many different things. Carrot sticks, celery sticks, tortilla chips, pita crackers...All up to your imagination!
* You can put out a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing if you wish too!
* You can add up to a half of a cup of water if necessary. It really depends on the amount of juice the chicken lets off.
